Hi, I’m Brook Lyn Burnett.

I’ve been a student and teacher of Pilates for over a decade. My experience and consistent practice have helped me to cultivate a style that is unique, personal, and results-driven. I’ve had the great fortune of working with some of the best teachers, coaches, and mentors on the West Coast and it is through those lessons that I became passionate about teaching.

As a young athlete, I was never taught how to move properly, only how to build strength and increase speed, this ultimately leads to pain and injury for many of us. When I attended my first Pilates class as a student at UC Santa Barbara everything started to “click”. I began to feel muscles I didn’t know existed, saw an immediate improvement in my gait and posture, and (most importantly) felt the connection between my mind and body. Years later I left my corporate job and signed up for the BASI Pilates course where I earned my comprehensive certification and began to pursue my true calling.

Throughout my Pilates career, I’ve worked with students from all walks of life. While teaching in Downtown Los Angeles, I was exposed to lawyers, executives, and long-distance commuters battling chronic neck and shoulder pain. As an instructor at the University of Southern California, I spent time developing detailed training plans with coaches and student-athletes preparing for championships and Olympic trials. And as someone who personally just wants to look and feel her best, I’ve developed plans for people just like me.

Above all, Pilates is a practice for everyone. My goals for every client are the same: to have fun, to challenge, and to enlighten.
